Custom Lightbar

Well, after some work and elbow grease, and a few stolen hours, the rear light bar is complete.  After some filler, primer, filler, primer, sanding, blocking, etc.  I finally determined that it was going to be "as good as it is gonna get" and decided to give it a squirt of paint.  So a little gloss black later, and some curing, I added the lights.

Now I know this is not stock, and departs from the "original" on the old truck, but just as strange as it would be to see a 60+ year old truck on the road, even stranger is looking for a single brakelight the size of the bottom of a beer can and the driver signaling out the window left and right turns.  So, for safety's sake, originality was sacrificed for safety.  Thus, the rear light bar.

Documented in previous posts, summed up here:
Designed to match lines of front of truck,
Cut on Plasma CNC Table,
Welded and formed,
Wiring loom assembled and soldered,
Ground and filled,
Filled and primed,
Blocked and painted gloss black,
and finally LED lights installed.

So hopefully, if I'm out just a bit past dark, or trying to make a turn on the parade route or coming from the feedstore, some idiot should have no excuse for not seeing me.  Also, with the addition of a switch on the Reverse position of the shifter, should have a little help in seeing where I am going when backing.  And it was good therapy tonight.  I needed it.  And I learned how to insert a photo into my blog.  woohoo!
