Work on the light bar

Well, after a month hiatus from work on the truck, I got back into it tonight.  4-H Camp and a little vacation slowed some progress.  But tonight, my wife's Bachelorette addiction, and 3+" of late July rain was perfect.  I finally was able to head out and perform the last major step on getting the rear light bar ready to be painted.  After the welds on the bar was ground smooth it was time to fill the gaps.  Some short strand fiberglass body filler was used to fill in all the cracks and seal it up tight.  After covering all the gaps, time to wait, let it cure, then come back and block it off.  After smoothing out the rough spots, now it will be time let it cure, sand some more, and spray on some blocking primer, smooth, and have it ready to squirt on some gloss black right along with the bed.

Sherwin Williams is having a sale on paint.  25% off a gallon of paint.  Hopefully this week I'll get a gallon or two to cover the bed and at least have that part ready to go!

For now, its time to listen to the rain, and sleep.
